Deputy Manager (Nurse / RGN / RMN) Job Description

As a Deputy Manager (Nurse / RGN / RMN) at our care home, you will play a vital role in supporting the care home operations to meet or exceed goals while ensuring high-quality care. You will oversee care staff and manage the care home in the Manager's absence, training and supervising staff, assisting with resident pre-admission assessments, maintaining care plans and records, and facilitating communication with families and other organisations.

About the Care Home

Our care home is registered for up to 73 service users, providing nursing, residential, and dementia care. We have excellent reviews and feedback from residents and families, and we always put the residents at the heart of everything we do, providing the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the care home operations to meet or exceed goals while ensuring high-quality care.
  • Oversee care staff and manage the care home in the Manager's absence.
  • Train and supervise staff.
  • Assist with resident pre-admission assessments.
  • Maintain care plans and records.
  • Facilitate communication with families and other organisations.
Requirements
  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • NMC PIN - (Nurse / RGN / RMN).
  • The ability to engage with service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and staffing team.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care programs within the home.
