Job Description

Anglo Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Engage with the delivery team and key stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Project Analysis: Manage comprehensive analysis of project scope, identifying critical paths, dependencies, and potential risks.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress, tracking key milestones, and providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential delays, conflicts, or resource constraints and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance: Provide support during project audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with project schedules and contractual obligations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to project planning.
  • Contractual Arrangements: Understand the contractual arrangements of the programme and ensure that they are not compromised due to planning issues and providing scenario plans for mitigation.
  • Team Support: Providing support and advice to site, construction, and delivery teams.
  • Project Meetings: Attend project meetings, present project information and update of the programme.
Requirements:
  • Project Management Methodologies: Experience of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • NEC3 Knowledge: Knowledge of NEC3.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Planning Software: Proficient in using planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Project Management Principles: Strong understanding of project management principles, construction processes, and engineering methodologies.
  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
