Company Overview: Thornton & Baines is a reputable and long-standing legal practice with over 20 years of industry experience. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Estate Planning Specialist on a self-employed commission only basis.

Role Overview: As an Estate Planning Specialist with Thornton & Baines, you will be responsible for generating meetings from our vast database of leads. You will be trained to provide exceptional legal advice to clients and implement tried and tested sales techniques. Prior experience is beneficial but is not imperative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on areas such as Will writing, Trust planning, and Lasting Power of Attorney.
  • Engage with leads and convert them into clients.
  • Make financial referrals where necessary to our sister company Thornton & Baines Independent Financial Advisers Ltd.
  • Obtain expert knowledge on all areas of estate planning through further reading.
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

Requirements:

  • Develop legal and financial knowledge in the pursuit of obtaining a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS).
  • Demonstrate and deliver exceptional estate planning advice.
  • Ensure documentation is completed and recorded correctly.
  • Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Be self-motivated and driven, with the capability to work independently within a team environment.
