As a Clinical Trials Specialist Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the coordination of clinical trials and ensure that administrative duties are carried out in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and drug trial protocols.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Managing pharmacy aspects of clinical trial studies, including development and implementation of pharmacy procedures, managing files, dealing with sponsors, and dealing with financial queries.

* Dispensing trial medication and ensuring all trials are managed in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Clinical Trials Regulations.

* Working with the pharmacy clinical trials team to develop the clinical trials service in line with Trust strategy and regulatory directives.

* Managing quarantined clinical trials medication and reporting results of quarantined medicine investigations to the clinical trials pharmacists and technicians.

* Planning, organizing, and managing the daily workload of the pharmacy clinical trials service in conjunction with the clinical trials pharmacy technicians and assistants.

* Ensuring dispensing, storage, and expiry date records for clinical trials are kept up-to-date.

* Processing patient returned clinical trial medicines and clinical trial medicines destruction.

* Managing shipping and clinical trial medicines returns to trial sponsors with external vendors.

* Reviewing and contributing to SOPs for processes within the clinical trials department.

* Processing and supporting implementation of amendments.

* Responding to financial queries and producing reports.
