Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at the Department of Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll administration, state and federal payroll regulations and policies, FLSA, financial data reconciliation, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll administration, including compliance with state and federal regulations and policies
  • Oversee benefits administration, including health care, short-term/long-term disability, Worker's Compensation, FMLA, leave, and various retirement plan options
  • Utilize Excel to compile and analyze data to partner with Finance for payroll certification, reconciliation, and payroll/benefits audits
  • Develop and implement HRIS personnel transaction processing and reporting, with experience in the Cardinal Human Capital Management system preferred
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
Requirements
  • Considerable knowledge of benefits administration and payroll regulations
  • Ability to utilize Excel and Microsoft Office technology
  • Experience in HRIS personnel transaction processing and reporting, with experience in the Cardinal Human Capital Management system preferred
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with VNAV, Cardinal, Payroll Service Bureau Portal desired
  • A combination of training, experience, or education in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field desired
