Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at an Independent Specialist School in Lytham St Annes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and pragmatic language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' communication needs, focusing on social communication and pragmatic language skills.
  • Prepare detailed reports for multi-disciplinary team meetings, Education, Health, and Care Plan reviews, or annual reviews.
  • Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to meet the sensory and behavioral needs of children with ASD.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to address sensory or behavioral challenges affecting communication.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
  • Prior experience supporting children with ASD and pragmatic language difficulties is essential.
