About the Role:

As a Public Health Funerals Officer in our Mortality Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Client Financial Affairs function is carried out efficiently and effectively. This includes all aspects of property protection and the arrangement of public funerals. Your tasks will include ensuring appropriate contact with relatives, implementing funeral wishes, and administering estates. You will also carry out searches of deceased clients' homes to determine the existence of a will, financial position, and next of kin, and decide on the most appropriate funeral based on legal, religious, and cultural requirements.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should possess well-developed experience in operational delivery and resource management, ensuring that statutory requirements and community needs are met while delivering excellent customer service. Sound IT skills, particularly in word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases, are important, along with the ability to produce clear and concise reports for various audiences.
