Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at The Thorpe Practice. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Pharmacist in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete rotations in Community Pharmacy for a period of training delivered weekly or in a block (minimum of three months per year)
  • Assist the Pharmacist in retrieving electronic prescriptions, receiving prescriptions, and recording Patient Medication Records
  • Dispense prescriptions, including FP10s & Private Prescriptions, and monitored dosage systems (MDS)
  • Support the community pharmacist with medicines reconciliation and complete OTC sales and recommendations for common minor ailments
  • Collaborate with General Practice staff to ensure patients' medication records are up-to-date

Requirements:

  • General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)-accredited course, GPhC-recognised qualification or a GPhC-approved apprenticeship pathway
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of medications and dispensing procedures

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
