Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV 1 Driver to join our dayshift curtain work team. This role involves the transportation of goods using curtain-sided vehicles, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Transportation of Goods: Safely transport goods using curtain-sided vehicles, adhering to delivery schedules and ensuring secure storage.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize delivery routes, reduce transit times, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and secure deliveries, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV 1 License: Possess a valid HGV 1 license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an HGV 1 driver, preferably in a curtain-sided vehicle environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with logistics software, transportation regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
