We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Scantec Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical or multi-skilled engineering, with a minimum of ONC/C&G Part III or HNC in electrical engineering. You will be responsible for completing planned and breakdown maintenance of equipment, ensuring it is carried out in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the production lines are safe to operate, resolving problems whilst proactively identifying, reporting and addressing potential hazards and near misses.
- Ensure all safety-related maintenance electrical work is completed in a timely manner.
- Follow and improve preventative maintenance plans with the aim of reducing unplanned downtime.
- Support root cause investigations for repetitive breakdowns and to implement permanent solutions.
- Be involved in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with relevant project work where maintenance involvement is required.
- Ensure line efficiency is improved through timely repair, maintenance and improvement of equipment.
- Ensure quality is improved and spoilage is reduced through timely repair, maintenance and improvement of equipment.
- Minimum of ONC/C&G Part III or HNC in electrical engineering.
- Strong background in electrical or multi-skilled engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
