About This Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team in Stroud. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing company that values its employees and provides a supportive and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in sales and be able to communicate effectively with potential customers. The role involves identifying new sales opportunities, developing relationships with existing customers, and providing excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales opportunities by following up on leads and using outbound telephone outreach, with follow-ups via email and social media.
  • Speak with potential customers, asking relevant questions to assess their needs.
  • Provide follow-up emails/calls with further information as requested by the customer.
  • Explain and demonstrate the features and functions of company services.
  • Research new leads and ensure competition activity is monitored.
  • Keep up-to-date with product and service information and competitor offers.
  • Identify upselling opportunities and offer where relevant.

Requirements:

  • 3 years+ Previous sales experience
  • Proactive, self-starter
  • Highly organised
  • Clear communicator

Salary and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £30,000 per annum basic salary + commission (potential OTE up to £120k)
  • 37.5 hours per week flexible on start/finish times
  • Hybrid working flexibility may also be offered once trained and settled
