Maintenance Operative

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our facilities team at CATS Global Schools. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our school buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe and high-quality environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repairs of school buildings and grounds, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry works, painting, and decorating.
- Regular health and safety checks, including weekly fire alarm testing and legionella temperature checks.
- Resolve maintenance issues logged via our system or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Collect and distribute supplies and trade materials across the grounds as required.
- General moving of furniture, boxes, confidential waste, and other items as needed.
- Maintain external areas by sweeping, leaf blowing, weeding, salting during winter months, and window cleaning.
- Ensure the security of buildings, including unlocking and locking up.
- Undertake regular campus checks to ensure safety and working order.
- Clean company vehicles and ensure maintenance checks are completed.
- Participate in an on-call duty as part of a rota.
