About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Stewardship team at Janus Henderson. As a Data Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in leading the analysis of data workstreams for strategic projects and ensuring data governance is upheld to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis of data attributes within JHI systems and document the impact of proposed changes through projects or initiatives.
  • Create functional requirements documents detailing current state and proposed changes and articulate these clearly to impacted teams.
  • Liaise with Technology teams to communicate development changes required for delivery and oversee testing and sign off with business users.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering meetings and liaise with stakeholders to ensure regular communications with the business, technology, and data teams.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects to ensure all change is clearly documented by updating conceptual and logical models and ensuring Data catalogues, definitions, and lineage are aligned.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Experience of working on large-scale data transformation projects in a Business Analyst role.
  • Experience of working within a data team, demonstrating good securities knowledge.
  • Experience writing and implementing business requirements, process maps, user stories.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Skills, including Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Previous finance experience, especially middle and back-office processes.
  • Analytical, structured, and logical in approach.
  • Attention to detail and a delivery-focused mindset.
  • Organized and collaborative.
Nice to Have
