About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Glenbourne Unit. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for providing support to patients with mental health needs, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure that each individual receives the best possible care.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as physical interventions, de-escalation techniques, and risk assessments. Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the necessary skills to succeed in this role and take on new challenges in the future.

Job Responsibilities
• Work under the direction of a registered member of nursing staff
• Carry out tasks assigned by trained nurses efficiently and effectively
• Maintain confidentiality in respect of patients at all times
• Be aware of Health and Safety at Work Act and implications for the work environment
• Know how to report accidents and untoward incidents promptly
• Ensure understanding of patient needs and risks
• Obtain knowledge of Trust policies, procedures, and practices
Requirements
We are looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant who possesses:
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience/qualification
• Care certificate
• Evidence of training/relevant development for mental health settings
• Ability to participate in activities with patients
• Ability to contribute to the process of and delivery of high-standard care as planned in care programs
The estimated salary for this position is £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
