About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager with a sound bias to join our team at The Lowry. As a key member of our Technical Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our theatres and providing technical support to all areas of the business.

You will work closely with our other Technical Managers and the Head of Technical Services to achieve this goal. Your expertise in sound, audio visual, flying, rigging, staging, and theatre principles will be essential in delivering high-quality productions and events.

We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills, experience of supervising others, and the ability to delegate. You will also have strong administrative and organisational skills, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and carry out all duties associated with the get in, fit up, running, and get out of productions and events
  • Provide technical support to all areas of the business
  • Work closely with other Technical Managers and the Head of Technical Services
  • Supervise staff and provide technical requirements for The Lowry's theatre spaces
  • Ensure a smooth running of the Technical Department
