About Our Client:

A leading player in the water industry is looking for a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Leeds. With a focus on delivering high-quality engineering designs, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver civil engineering designs for projects, including briefs, calculations, and risk assessments.
  2. Collaborate with the CAD team to create and review drawings/models.
  3. Work closely with site delivery teams to ensure constructability and preferred methods of construction.
  4. Contribute to design reviews, including HAZOPS and ALMs.
  5. Prepare geotechnical reports and arrange ground investigation works.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in AUTOCAD and Finite element analysis software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Geotechnical design, reinforced concrete design, and temporary works design.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel/have own transport for site visits.

Package and Benefits:

  • Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Pension scheme with company matched contributions.
  • 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), plus 8 days reserved for Christmas holiday.
  • Mileage paid at 45p/mile for first 10k miles per year.
