Design Engineer for Orbex Prime Launch Vehicle

Orbex is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Forres, Scotland. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and supporting the development of the Orbex Prime launch vehicle and its supporting ground segment equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical harnessing and fluid networks for the Orbex Prime launch vehicle.
  • Design structural and mechanical components and assemblies for the launch vehicle and its supporting ground segment equipment.
  • Collaborate with analysis and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product development.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and drawings in accordance with relevant standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
  • Proven experience in routing projects for harnesses and fluid networks, ideally for flight or space-grade projects.
  • Proficient in CAD software (SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, NX) and technical drawing generation.
  • At least 6+ years' experience in engineering design, preferably in high-performance or flight-critical components.
