Financial Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Brook Street. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of ledgers and journals
  • Process invoices and follow up with suppliers as needed
  • Ensure timely payments to suppliers and resolve discrepancies
  • Daily chasing of overdue debt and issuing statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and internal records
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Provide support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles
  • Assist in preparing documentation for external and internal audits
  • Provide necessary support during audit processes
  • Responsible for the full end-to-end payroll process for both companies
  • Maintenance of the time & attendance system
  • Support the financial controller with general accounting tasks
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes

Requirements:

  • Part Qualification in Accounting or related field

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00

Salary: £30,000-£35,000
