Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a skilled Sustainability Specialist to join their Edinburgh-based team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Building Performance Engineer or Energy Efficiency Consultant to contribute to high-performance building certifications and energy efficiency targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed building performance analysis to enhance thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Utilize IES software to model building physics and assess environmental impacts, ensuring optimal building performance.
  • Support project teams in achieving high-performance building certifications and energy efficiency targets.

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng in a subject related to Building Services Design, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Sustainability.
  • Some knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly regarding heat transfer, energy balance, and thermal comfort.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Enthusiasm for a career in sustainable building services design & controls underpinned by an understanding of our sector and work.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving.
  • A drive to meet deadlines and a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.
