Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Category Manager - Indirect to join our passionate and driven team based at our client's site in Ipswich.
Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, the Indirect Category Manager is a strategic role with primary responsibility for managing Indirect spend, with a predominant focus on Fleet, Professional Services, Transport, Contingent Workforce, Marketing procurement categories, for OCS UK & Ireland.
Collaborating closely with key internal stakeholders, both Group and UK&I, the Indirect Category Manager will be expected to develop and implement a comprehensive category plan aimed at maximising value within the specified categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a category plan to maximise value within the specified categories.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value for the company.
- Monitor and report on category performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and category management, with experience in managing Indirect spend. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
