About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Carer at Rochcare, a family-run business providing quality residential care homes and support services to older people and those living with dementia.

As a Senior Carer, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of our residents, ensuring they receive exceptional care and attention. You will work closely with our team of care professionals to deliver high-quality care, promoting independence, dignity, and respect for each individual.

The ideal candidate will possess a kind, patient, and compassionate nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care, with a focus on meeting the unique needs of each resident.

We offer a competitive rate of pay, £54 per hour, and a range of benefits, including a company pension, access to Blue Light Card Discount, and opportunities for further studies and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support residents with all aspects of their health, social, and emotional wellbeing, including personal care, mobility, medication, continence, nutrition, and hydration.
  2. Ensure residents appear well-kept in their personal care, hygiene, and clothing.
  3. Provide mental and physical stimulation to residents through conversation and engagement in activities.
  4. Work effectively as part of a team to deliver exceptional care, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  5. Liaise with the manager and care team to report areas of good practice and any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • A kind, patient, and compassionate nature
  • Good English, numeracy, and writing skills
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • A social care qualification, such as Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • 1 year of experience in a care setting

Desirable criteria include previous experience as a senior carer or team leader in an adult care setting and strong leadership skills.
