Job Title: Field Service Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing food processing machines and cutting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, breakdown, and repair of food processing machines and cutting tools
  • Working on slicers, skinners, debones, portioning machines, and other equipment
  • Able to read electrical drawings and wire/rewire machines
  • Changing of bearing, belts, and chains
  • Experience of working on shafts and mechanical issues surrounding pulleys
  • Ability to run Ethernet cables and diagnostics through HMI's - inputs/outputs
  • Good understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to travel and cover the UK, visiting sites such as fisheries, meat processing, and chicken houses
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of FMCG/Food/Production machines
  • No formal qualification is required, but a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles is essential
  • Ability to travel and understand the life of a service technician
