Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Build People, a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor with a strong reputation in the industry.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial procedures, contract control, and cost management within the civil engineering industry and will be able to provide expert guidance on commercial matters related to our projects.

About the Company

Build People is a leading Civil Engineering Contractor with over 50 years of experience working on projects throughout the North West, primarily in Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, and surrounding areas.

Our company specialises in groundwork packages covering foundations and roads & sewers for residential housing projects, and we are committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure contractual control and cost management across various projects in the region.
  • Take active responsibility for commercial procedures in conjunction with the Commercial Director.
  • Manage all commercial aspects relating to projects, achieving high standards to maintain our strong reputation.
  • Involvement from initial enquiry through to project delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

The salary for this role is £69,000 (dependent on experience), with additional benefits including a company vehicle and pension scheme.
