Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Subsea & Pipelines Consultant Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our subsea engineering team, you will be responsible for leading teams to deliver subsea engineering projects, designing subsea systems, and analyzing subsea pipelines and cables.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of subsea systems to applicable codes and standards.
- Lead the analysis of subsea pipelines and cables in various load conditions.
- Work with our proposal and project teams to deliver high-quality and value outcomes.
- Evaluate, organize, and prioritize workloads, providing regular feedback to the team.
- Manage the delivery of scopes for client deliverables, including design calculations, analysis models, specifications, study reports, and presentations.
- Mentor the development of other subsea engineers.
- Participate in training to pursue continuing professional development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital design tools.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 8 years of related industry experience.
- A BEng/MEng Mechanical Engineering-related degree or equivalent.
- Professional Chartered Status (or working towards attainment of this) preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in subsea and pipeline design and related studies, including field development.
- Experience in subsea engineering design, including pipelines, risers, subsea systems, and cables for energy transmission.
- Integrity Management support and investigation of life extension services experience.
- Co-ordination abilities for pipeline operational support.
- Strong technical integration skills across related disciplines.
- Willingness to mentor and coach less experienced engineers.
- Proven leadership skills and attention to detail.
- Project Management and controls skillset.
- Offshore experience and certification advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with FEA tools such as OrcaFlex and/or Abaqus advantageous but not essential.
