Job Description


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our care team at HomeCare Direct as Support Workers. Our client is an independent man in his early 30s who has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. He requires assistance in all aspects of daily living and has some complex health needs, but his zest for life remains undiminished.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support our client in his own home, working alongside our care team to ensure his physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Provide companionship and engage in activities that promote our client's independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with our care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of our client's care and progress.


Requirements:

  • Experience working in a care setting, preferably with individuals with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
