At ICF, we're seeking an experienced project manager to lead our environmental team in delivering high-quality projects that make a tangible contribution to UK domestic environmental policy.

As a project manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating proposals and projects from proposal stage through to delivery and successful outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the preparation and submission of proposals and subsequent delivery, including budget development and contract review, management of quality, risk management, budget control, performance review / client feedback, and client liaison throughout project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing the management of projects, ensuring all financial, contractual, and other obligations are achieved in accordance with the agreed terms of reference and in accordance with ICF's quality standards.
  • Building effective relationships with clients and ICF subcontractors to ensure delivery of high-quality projects that meet client needs, on time and within budget.
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple small to mid-sized projects on a large framework.
  • A strong track record in bid and/or project management of environmental projects, or monitoring and evaluation projects, working as a project and/or bid manager.

We welcome candidates with a background in the natural environment, ecology, climate, marine conservation and fisheries, countryside, and agriculture sectors, and will consider candidates with a background in monitoring, evaluation and learning, public policy, social policy and economics, preferably in relation to these sectors.

This role will be positioned as a Managing Consultant or Lead Managing Consultant level, depending on experience.
