We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Health and Safety to join our Estates Team at The Children's Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our health and safety strategy, ensuring the well-being of our staff, children, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy, aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in health and safety, with experience in a similar role or industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with staff at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
