Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem in students with ASD through personalized support and encouragement.
  • Support students in developing social skills and building positive relationships with peers.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with ASD or other Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education, SEN support, or related fields are advantageous but not essential.
