Job Description

Themis Recruit is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their Private Client team in Cambridge. As a key member of the team, you will provide bespoke high-quality legal advice to mid to high net worth clients, focusing on trusts, taxation, and lifetime planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide estate planning advice to clients, including the preparation of complex wills and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Deal with the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates, including the preparation of trust documentation and advising executors and trustees on taxation compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Advise business owners on business succession planning, including sole traders, partners, and shareholders.
  • Provide support and advice to team members on complex matters, particularly trusts, taxation, and estate planning.
  • Attend networking events to build the firm's reputation and develop professional connections.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Experience preparing self-assessment tax returns
  • SFE and/or STEP membership (highly desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills
  • Great time management skills
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, and proactive
  • Professional and works well both independently and in a team
  • Calm under pressure
