Estate Strategy Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Estates Manager (Strategy) to join our Property Team at Essex County Council. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of the council's Operational Estate Review, identifying and developing projects that achieve best value and support service delivery.

You will manage and commission property services, establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure alignment of strategic opportunities with the council's estate and policy framework. Your expertise in property management and analysis will enable you to provide high-quality advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the council's estate.
  • Manage a portfolio of property-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and realise opportunities for cost savings and improved service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on property-related matters.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in property management or a related field.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline, such as property, facilities management, or business studies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation
This fixed-term, full-time position offers a salary of £50,500 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package including pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and access to training and development opportunities.
