Responsibilities:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be working within the Kier Professional Services team, supporting them with the delivery of a broad range of Electrical related services. You will also contribute to the delivery of more complex services.

Key Activities:

  • Develop engineering design from feasibility, design briefs, or detailed user requirement specifications.
  • Produce detailed specifications to facilitate compliance with client requirements, e.g. Control philosophy, Cable selection & calculations, Cable, Load, & Instrument Schedules, Instrument selection, Cable Block and P&ID Diagrams
  • Produce load analysis, field cabling design and discrimination in line with BS7671, using proprietary software.
  • Review and sizing of transformers & generators.
  • Prepare Electrical Design work quotations.

Requirements:

This role is ideal for you if:

  • You are a technician or incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. EngTech MICE, IEng MICE, etc.)
  • You have relevant postgraduate experience
  • You have Electrical lighting design experience
