Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Ridge & Partners LLP. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering design from feasibility to completion and handover, working closely with other professionals, including clients, structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver electrical systems for a range of projects, including education, commercial, and residential developments.
  • Liaise with clients and architects to ensure that design and maintenance of building systems meet legislative and health and safety requirements.
  • Advising clients on energy use and conservation in buildings and sites, aiming to minimize environmental impact and reduce carbon footprint.
  • Designing site-specific equipment as required.
  • Technical reviews of contractor's proposals and on-site inspections of the installation of building systems and maintenance and operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, ideally chartered or working towards chartered engineer status.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complicated issues between clients and project teams.
  • Ambition and willingness to learn, with high diligence and organizational skills.

Ridge & Partners LLP operates a CIBSE accredited mentor scheme for registration to the Engineer Council to obtain CEng.
