Project Director

Job Summary

United Living Group is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the management of gas transmission and distribution contracts nationwide. The successful candidate will ensure programme requirements are met while working in line with company and divisional objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects to achieve targets in respect of safety, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement project delivery plans, including short-term programmes and resource allocation.
• Oversee design, safety, quality management, resource planning, programme management, and commercial management.
• Manage the company's obligations and rights under contract terms.
• Lead by example in promoting high standards of health and safety and environmental management.
• Ensure accurate and compliant HSQ&E activity and reporting.
• Staff and manage projects effectively, maintaining high levels of commitment and morale.
• Work closely with the commercial team to ensure alignment and management of commercial and operations matters.
• Notify and obtain approval for work outside the contract scope.

Requirements

• Experienced Gas or Pipeline Project Manager with delivery, HSQE, and commercial expertise.
• Commercial and programming awareness, with experience using NEC forms of contract.
• Site management safety certificate (SMSTS/IOSH Managing Safely).
• Proven track record of successful project delivery from start to finish.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience working on similar projects for National Grid, Cadent, Northern Gas Networks, or Scotia Gas Networks is advantageous.
• Ability to travel weekly, with occasional lodging required.
• Full UK driving license.
