Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily activities, medication administration, and health condition monitoring.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to individuals, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring individuals receive nutritious meals and snacks.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed, working collaboratively with individuals and their families.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker in the UK.
- Care Certificate or willingness to complete the Care Certificate.
- NVQ in Care (desirable).
Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals and their families.
- Compassion and empathy towards those in need of support.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills to manage daily tasks and schedules.
- Patience and understanding when dealing with challenging situations.
