**Job Title:** TPS Production Engineer - Mechanical Expert

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled TPS Production Engineer - Mechanical Expert to join our team at Connectment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering support to maintain the progress of production activities, ensuring the production and maintenance of engineering drawings and BOMs, and engineering solutions to repair, replace, modify, and improve components.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide engineering support to maintain the progress of production activities.
  • Production and maintenance of engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Engineer solutions to repair, replace, modify, and improve components.
  • Sourcing of parts, consumables, subcontractors, information, and technology in support of production.
  • Completing Grid and quality inspection on parts and subcontract operations for both stock and WIP in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.
  • Maintaining contact with suppliers to maintain progress of the manufacture of parts and operations.
  • Working with production to complete As received technical and Final technical reports.
  • Design, source, and installation of test equipment to meet production demands.
  • Compilation of technical information and instruction manuals to support test equipment.
  • Commissioning of new test equipment and service/repair/calibration of existing equipment in the field.
  • Overseeing fault investigation and testing of new products or special projects.
  • Working with the sales team to promote the business, speaking with customers, diagnosing faults, and offering technical support.
  • Assisting the commercial department with part recognition and raising quotations.
  • To ensure all work/tasks/procedures/documentation meet the requirements of OEL Quality Systems & recognized standard practices.

**Requirements:**

  • HND/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • PC literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Use of Solidworks drawing package.
  • Use of data acquisition and intelligent instrumentation hardware (Labview).
  • Experience of fitting and assembly processes.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experienced in fluid dynamics.
  • Able to interpret and read technical specifications and technical drawings.
  • Must have proven teamworking skills.
  • Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
