Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Treatment Plant Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Thalia Waste Management, a leader in innovative waste-to-energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Mechanical Treatment plant and tipping hall, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Supervise and lead our team of Mechanical Treatment Operators and Sort Line Operatives, fostering a collaborative and safe working environment.
  • Manage and execute Mechanical Treatment procedures and risk assessments in accordance with BSI standards, ensuring all operations meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors and manage contracts, including offtakes, as directed by the Mechanical Treatment Lead.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Technical Competence (CoTC) – WAMITAB scheme or equivalent (desirable)
  • IoSH Managing Safely or equivalent (desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of adapting to various computer-based systems.
  • Experience in the waste industry, particularly in operating mobile and Mechanical Treatment Plants, is highly desirable.
  • Essential experience in people management or supervision, demonstrating strong leadership and team-building abilities.
