We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Production Manager to lead our steel fabrication team at Steel Connexions Ltd.

A well-established and successful steelwork fabrication business specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of various secondary and architectural steelwork projects is looking for an experienced leader.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Workshop Management within the steelwork industry.

Job Description

The successful Workshop Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing workflow and production schedules to ensure project deadlines are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Liaising with Quality Control to ensure all products meet company and customer specifications.
  2. Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments in line with health and safety regulations.
  3. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  4. Leading a team of professionals as an effective Team Leader.
Requirements

To be considered for this senior position, applicants must have:

  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Workshop Management role, preferably within the steelwork industry.
  2. Excellent communication skills.
  3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  4. An IOSH Managing Safely certificate.
  5. Demonstrated experience in man-management, requiring the ability to lead an established team.
  6. Residence within or proximity to the workshop location.
