About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, while also contributing to the development of our department.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced team to provide excellent clinical care to our patients, with a focus on pediatric emergency medicine. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in academic and research activities, including teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality clinical care to patients in the pediatric emergency department, working closely with colleagues from various disciplines.
  • To participate in academic and research activities, including teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, as well as contributing to the development of our department's research strategy.
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care to our patients.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, including notes and test results.
  • To adhere to hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Mbambs or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCEM or Equivalent.
  • Successful completion of CT3/ST3+.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. You will be required to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Salary

The salary for this position is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
