Are you looking to develop a special interest in Emergency Medicine while working in a large teaching hospital and major trauma center? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

This 12-month fellowship is designed to provide individually tailored experience and training for those who want to excel in Emergency Medicine. As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will work in our busy Emergency Department and be involved in a variety of streams of work, including simulation and human factors, postgraduate medical education, major trauma, ultrasound, global emergency medicine, and digital health informatics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate an embedded weekly in situ simulation program across both adult departments
  • Pursue activities related to postgraduate education, training, and supervision
  • Deliver scheduled undergraduate education for over 100 senior medical students each year
  • Develop and lead on department and undergraduate ultrasound courses
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 36 months experience after full GMC registration or equivalent
  • Evidence of achievement of foundation competences, in line with GMC standards or Good Medical Practice
  • Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent
  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
