About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurologist to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Neurologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our neurology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with neurological conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including junior doctors, nurses, and other support staff.
  • Contribute to the development of our neurology services, including service redesign, quality improvement, and research.
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in clinical governance and audit activities to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a valid license to practice.
  • Completion of Specialist Training (or equivalent) and entry on the Specialist Register of the GMC.
  • Experience of leading a team and contributing to service development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
