We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Domestic Assistant to join our Facilities Team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our service users and staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all areas in accordance with national standards of cleanliness, following the approved cleaning schedule and adjusting work routines as needed. You will also be accountable for collecting daily rubbish, washing up mealtime dishes, and opening or closing buildings as required.
We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Previous experience in a domestic environment would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities- General Cleaning: Clean all areas in accordance with national standards of cleanliness, following the approved cleaning schedule and adjusting work routines as needed.
- Rubbish Collection: Collect daily rubbish and take it to the designated area.
- Washing Up: Wash up mealtime dishes for patients.
- Building Access: Open or close buildings as required, with prior discussion.
- Security: Inform Porters or security of any security breaches if the building is empty.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep all equipment used in connection with duties in a clean and tidy condition.
- Reporting: Bring to the attention of the domestic supervisor any faults on equipment.
- Incident Reporting: Provide details of any untoward incidents to administrative or senior nursing staff.
- Equipment Use: Use appropriate equipment and PPE while conducting cleaning duties, as per organization policy.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties as delegated by the supervisor on an ad-hoc basis.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- General Education: Hold or willing to undertake an accredited Level 2 award in cleaning.

- Previous NHS cleaning knowledge would be desirable.
- Experience:
- Good understanding of cleaning services.
- Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in Domestic Services and/or catering.
- Previous experience in dealing with the public.
