Financial Controller

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours a week)
We're on a mission to reduce waste in the fashion industry, and we need a skilled Management Accountant to help us achieve this goal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial insights to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Undertake ad hoc projects as required to support business needs
Provide detailed costings for products and projects
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Conduct cost analysis and control, identifying areas for cost reduction
Assist the Financial Controller with the annual audit
Support and advise the buying team with the purchase order (PO) system.
Requirements:
AAT qualification or part recognised accountancy qualification is essential
Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in a similar industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Proficient in accounting software, Xero knowledge is desirable
Experience with Excel and Google Workspace is desirable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
