About the Role: Fire & Security Engineer

Our company, Zitko Group Ltd, specializes in delivering tailored security solutions for commercial applications, including large-scale projects for blue-chip companies and public sector organizations. With nearly two decades of experience, we have developed strong relationships with leading technology partners, such as Axis communications and Genetec, as well as major customers like FedEx and Stagecoach.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Installation of Fire Detection, Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, and Emergency Lighting Systems to meet industry standards.
  2. Ensure all systems are properly serviced, fault-found, and repaired to maintain optimal performance.
  3. Develop and implement effective IP networking solutions, where required.
  4. Stay up-to-date with relevant British Standards and industry best practices for servicing, maintenance, and commissioning.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe working practices and adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
  6. Utilize excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to address complex system issues.
  7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders through strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience working with Fire and Security systems.
  2. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  3. Experience of IP Networking is preferred but not necessary.
  4. Understanding of relevant British Standards and industry best practices.
  5. Familiarity with safe working practices and Health and Safety requirements.
  6. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  7. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

The successful candidate will undergo BS7858 Security Screening and UKSV.

Full employment will be subject to successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.
