About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Children's Community Nursing Service. This exciting opportunity involves providing clinical care to children and young people, working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and planning individualized care plans, administering medication, performing procedures, and supporting patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough nursing assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  2. Administer medication, including chemotherapy and intravenous antibiotics, in accordance with NHS guidelines.
  3. Perform wound care, enteral feeding, and other procedures as required.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and patient safety.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide emotional support and education.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council).
  • A degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience in paediatric nursing, preferably within a community setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
