Chief Operating Officer

St Albans Education Group (STAEG) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic commercial and operational leadership at a critical juncture in the Group's development.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and commercially-minded leader who will drive the infrastructure and operational strategy of STAEG through a collaborative and enabling style that brings out the best in others.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Principal in implementing STAEG's ambitious vision and strategy
  • Overseeing a sizeable multi-disciplinary team operating a critical central support function
  • Developing and steering the Group's infrastructure and operational strategy
  • Ensuring the effective management and delivery of support services for finance, HR, commercial activities, estates, health and safety, administration, compliance, IT, cleaning and catering

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and commercial experience, with a deep understanding of the education sector and a passion for driving operational excellence.
