We are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work within one of our partner schools in SK5, boasting a "family feel". The school provides an environment where individuals are nurtured and valued, and staff make a real effort to get to know them and their lives outside school.

About the Role:

  • The primary objective is to support a Year 3 class with a pupil who has SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • This role is confirmed until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extending beyond and remaining with the pupil in the new academic year.
  • You will work closely with the class teacher and pastoral team to ensure effective plans are in place to best assist the young girl.
  • The school provides significant support for pupils with behavioural needs, and you will work collectively as a team throughout the day to ensure the appointed teaching assistant feels supported.

Requirements:

  • Teaching assistant level 1, 2 or 3, or equivalent (but not essential)
  • Two references - at least one ideally from an education provider or similar setting
  • Able to work as part of a team and support the ethos of a school
  • Experience supporting varying levels of need and abilities as a teaching assistant
  • Experience of providing a positive learning environment as a teaching assistant or in a similar role

The estimated salary for this role is £12.23 per hour, based on a 30-hour workweek.
