Behaviour Support Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will work closely with children who have special educational needs, providing essential support to help them thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with a variety of needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and communication difficulties.
  • Assist in creating a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Adapt learning tasks to meet individual needs, ensuring that all students are given the opportunity to succeed.
  • Play an active role in early intervention strategies, using tools such as PECS or Makaton, where applicable.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children who have SEND, particularly around communication and behavioural support.
  • A genuine commitment to teamwork and collaboration with teachers and school leaders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with both students and staff.
  • The ability to adapt learning tasks to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • A passion for professional development and a willingness to continually learn and grow in your role.
