Procurement Manager

As a key member of the Ørsted team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the project managers and lead procurement managers for US projects with daily procurement activities. You will work closely with stakeholders to manage the sourcing process, including preparing and conducting supplier negotiations.

About the Role

  • Source services to support offshore project development and construction.
  • Lead and deliver strategic sourcing processes from start to finish, including market analysis, tender process, negotiations, implementation, and contract management.
  • Ensure contractual alignment between business and project objectives.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the realization and optimization of commercial value.
  • Effectively work with offshore wind projects to align contract documentation as it relates to scope changes.
  • Proactively handle commercial issues arising from contracts, including issues related to supplier performance and contract interpretation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract management.
  • Experience in the marine, construction, energy, or environmental industry and with tendering, negotiating, and/or managing contracts is preferred.
  • Demonstrate a well-developed 'toolbox' to effectively manage sourcing and tender processes, negotiations, stakeholder management, analyzing market trends, and tracking supplier performance.
  • Proven negotiation skills, enabling you to communicate professionally with key business partners while maintaining contractual and business objectives.
  • Proactive and systematic approach to work tasks, with an ability to balance competing priorities in a large matrixed organization.
