Type One Energy is a pioneering company in the field of fusion energy, dedicated to providing sustainable and affordable power to the world. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Supply Chain Manager to play a critical role in our mission.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's supply chain and procurement operations. This will involve developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and manage risk within the supply chain of our fusion technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials, supplies, and services.
  • Manage the Procurement Process: Source, purchase, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  • Build and Maintain Supplier Relationships: Identify and develop relationships with key suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and service.
  • Oversee the Supply Chain Process: From raw materials to delivery of finished goods.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department: Forecast demand and plan inventory levels.
  • Monitor Supply Chain Performance: Implement improvements as necessary.
  • Maintain a Supplier Database: Include contract details, performance records, and other relevant information.
  • Manage and Monitor Vendor Relationships: Ensure continuous improvement in performance and capabilities.
  • Identify Potential Risks: Develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure Compliance: With legal, regulatory, and company standards in all procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Anticipate potential challenges in the supply chain.
  • Prepare and Manage the Procurement Budget: Ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Track and Report on Procurement and Supply Chain Costs and Savings.
  • Manage ERP Functionality: Drive productivity improvements and permit expansion for additional module deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or Professional Certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in a startup environment is preferable.
