About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a clinical oncologist with a passion for academic medicine to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the delivery of radiotherapy, chemoradiation, stereotactic ablative radiotherapy, and proton therapy for patients with gastrointestinal cancers. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and excellent outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including radiotherapy, chemoradiation, and proton therapy
- Conduct innovative research and contribute to the development of our services
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and excellent outcomes
- Teach and mentor junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors
- Participate in clinical trials and contribute to the development of new treatments
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced clinical oncologist who possesses the following qualities:
- Medical degree and completed General Professional Training, or equivalent
- Higher academic degree, such as an MD or PhD, or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications
- Membership of the Royal College of Radiologists, or equivalent
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register, or be within 6 months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or equivalent, in an appropriate specialty
